Presented by The Film Studio at Shenandoah University
Shenandoah’s film production program offers students hands-on experience by making their own films and starring in Shenandoah-produced movies. Students have served as the crew members and cast members— sometimes alongside big-name Hollywood actors — in all of the Shenandoah-produced feature films: Santa Girl, GetAWAY, Cupid for Christmas, and Miss Valentine. Shenandoah is one of the very few universities in the nation to co-produce a commercial feature film with a professional production company.
This shorts block includes several films with SU ties. River Maid included SU students and grads in various roles, including Production Assistants and Second Assistant Director. Where We Left Off won several awards including Best Film at the SU-sponsored Virginia Emerging Filmmakers Festival. Last Minute features SU instructor / Director-In-Residence Blayne Weaver.
